Why travelers love it

“A family‑friendly beachfront resort with spacious suites and an optional all inclusive plan”

This Riviera Nayarit resort sits on a long, swimmable stretch of Banderas Bay with the kind of calm water that's actually safe for kids to wade into. Spacious suites with kitchenettes make it a strong pick for families and longer stays, and the spa is consistently called out as a highlight. The all-inclusive plan is optional rather than required, which is worth understanding before you book.

Food & drink

Strong

Restaurants punch above expectations, with La Trattoria's Italian and the Yashinoki Japanese room drawing the loudest praise. El Patrón rounds out a lineup where kitchens will improvise off-menu when the mood strikes.

Dining overview

A mix of on-site restaurants and bars covering Mexican, international, and beachside casual options, with room service available. Specific venue details from current sources are limited, so confirm restaurant lineup at booking.

Beach

Strong

A soft, sandy Banderas Bay beach sits right at the property, walkable up to Bucerías for a change of scene. It is pleasant and swimmable rather than a postcard headline.

Editorial beach rating

Wide stretch of golden sand on Banderas Bay with generally calm, swimmable water — protected enough for kids and easy ocean entry. The beach is shared with neighboring Villa Group properties, so it can feel busy in high season.

Pools

Strong

Multiple pools with jacuzzis anchor the days, and the pool servers (Reege, Juan, Miguel) are named repeatedly as the reason the area feels so easy. Loungers, umbrellas, and towels arrive without asking.

Editorial pool rating

Several outdoor pools spread across the grounds, including a heated option and a poolside swim-up bar. The layout gives families and quieter guests room to spread out rather than crowding a single main pool.

What’s included

Mixed

On the all-inclusive plan or as a member, the spacious suites and service justify the spend, but pay-as-you-go guests find drinks and credits confusing and expensive. Pricing sits above nearby competitors.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Stretch

Works well for laid-back couples and vow renewals thanks to the beachfront Italian and wedding team, but this is a family-and-timeshare property, not a romance-first retreat. Honeymooners expecting boutique attention have felt shortchanged.

Families

Ideal

A genuine home-away-from-home for multigenerational families, with repeat visitors returning six and seven years running. Spacious suites, beach volleyball, and an entertainment team led by Edgar keep kids of all ages busy.

Peace & Quiet

Standout

Set north of Puerto Vallarta with afternoon breezes and calm evenings, this is a relaxed resort rather than a party scene. You can be loud when you want to be, but nights wind down early.

“Beautiful resort”

“The hotel… everything was broken. We went to the spa and the sauna was broken. The automatic lobby doors were being repaired for two whole days. The pool was over crowded. The location didn’t allow to experience the culture of mexico. The breakfast buffet sucked… Everywhere i turned there was someone trying to sell me something. It was annoying as hell. The beach was nice tho… until a man approached me to sell me some cocaine 😂. We attended one of their time share thingys and they were...”
