Why travelers love it

“Adults‑only all‑inclusive resort near Montego Bay airport with vibrant pools and nightlife access”

Guests often praise the three infinity pools with swim‑up bars, lively entertainment and direct access to Riu Montego Bay’s nightclub, plus convenient airport proximity

Best for groups and social adultsBest for party‑vibe travelersBest for short airport transfers

Food & drink

Strong

Buffet variety is genuinely strong with something for everyone, including allergy-friendly options and 24/7 snack availability. The steakhouse is the consistent weak link.

Dining overview

Five restaurants: large buffet with live cooking stations, plus Asian buffet, Italian (starter/dessert buffet, table service), Kulinarium fusion a la carte, steakhouse; 24‑hour snacks and four bars including lobby daiquiri bar and pool bars

Beach

Strong

The private beach is a genuine strength: clean, swimmable, and the setting for standout moments like private dinners and the beach bash. Just know there are no umbrellas allowed and vendors work the shoreline.

Detailed beach reporting coming soon.

Pools

Strong

Two pools with swim-up bars anchor the social scene, and bar service is consistently praised. Don't expect a lap pool or a calm float, both are shallow party pools.

Editorial pool rating

Three infinity pools, two with swim‑up bars; one main activity pool with games and foam parties; energetic social vibe

Rooms & suites

454 rooms

454 modern rooms with air‑conditioning, minibar and liquor dispenser, furnished balconies; junior suites add coffeemakers, jetted tubs, larger terraces

What’s included

Strong

For the price point, this delivers strong food, energetic entertainment, and a real Jamaica beach experience that repeat visitors keep coming back for. Just calibrate expectations: it's a solid mid-tier party resort, not a five-star luxury retreat.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Good fit

Works for couples who want a lively, party-forward vibe rather than quiet romance, and the private beach dinner is a genuine highlight. Older or reserved couples often feel out of place among the 18-35 crowd.

Families

Not a fit

Adults-only property, so no one under 18. Even for adult children or multigenerational adult trips, the young party skew and strict rules limit family appeal.

Peace & Quiet

Weak

This is a party resort with loud pool entertainment blocks midday and afternoon, and no easy escape from the noise. Book elsewhere if you want peace.

Includes spa with whirlpool and sauna, fitness centre, non‑motorized watersports, beach‑volleyball, gym; daily daytime activities and nightly shows; free entry to Pacha nightclub at Riu Montego Bay

Full-service spaSwim-up barFast Wi-Fi included

What past guests say

“I can't thank everyone at riu reggae for the most perfect, happy holiday. I will certainly return. Even all the trips I took were amazing. Thank you.”

“An absolutely fantastic adults-only all-inclusive hotel just 5-7 minutes from Montego Bay airport! The food is great, there's a wide selection of drinks, the rooms are clean, and the beach is a bit small, but you can walk to the right to reach the other Riu Palace and Riu Montego Bay hotels (at the latter, you can even eat and drink if you're staying at the Riu Reggae). The entertainment team is incredible, both day and night, and they know how to get the party going! If you're looking to...”

“From the momment we arrived my jaw fell open. Loved it.
I booked this particular hotel for the speciality restaurants but it was a let down for me. The menu options are very limited. For example, the Steakhouse had only 1 steak option on the evening we booked. How can u call it a Steakhouse?.
I preferred the main buffet.
Most of the staff were amazing, 1 or 2 could of been having a bad day.
Hotel extremely clean.
Entertainment staff were amazing. I hope they are paid what...”

“Overall, it was okay. The hot water in the shower on the first day was dismal; however, it improved the next four days. As it relates to service, many of the staff waited for us to ask for their assistance. For instance, if we were standing at the bar, they would wait for us to ask them for a drink. Also, when we went standing at the front for transportation, there were at least three men that sat there amongst themselves talking, rather than asking us what we needed or where we wanted to...”

What to Know

Specialty restaurants can only be booked through the RIU app, and security enforces rules (smoking, dress code, music, staying past checkout) aggressively and inconsistently. Watch your incidentals: guests report charges for damaged linens and a phantom room-upgrade upsell at check-in.
