Why travelers love it

“24‑hour all‑inclusive adults‑only beachfront resort with spa and swim‑up bar on Paradise Island”

Guests consistently praise the beachfront location, cleanliness, and onsite dining variety though service quality varies widely

Best for beach loversBest for adults who want 24‑hour all‑inclusiveBest for short walk to Atlantis

Food & drink

Strong

The Atlantic buffet is the real draw: broad variety, strong desserts, and poolside jerk chicken that guests rave about. Á la carte venues underwhelm and book up fast, so plan on eating buffet more often than not.

Dining overview

Five restaurants including buffet with live cooking stations plus Japanese, Fusion and Steakhouse specialty restaurants; three bars, jerk station and pâtisserie & ice cream parlor

Beach

Standout

Cabbage Beach is the headline: powdery white sand, turquoise water, and gentle waves rated among the best in the Caribbean. The strip is narrow and gets crowded, and vendors will approach you.

Located on a long stretch of white‑sand beachfront next to Atlantis; beach praised as “pristine” though nearby public beach can be built‑up

Pools

Mixed

The heated main pool with swim-up bar is pleasant and well serviced, but capacity is tight for the resort's size and the 7pm closing frustrates late swimmers. Expect loud music and animation during the day.

Editorial pool rating

Two swimming pools, including an infinity pool with a swim-up bar.

Rooms & suites

379 rooms

379 rooms with standard amenities like minibar, bathrobes, slippers, flat‑screen TV and free WiFi; décor dated according to guest feedback

What’s included

Strong

For Paradise Island prices, this is one of the better all-inclusive values, especially compared to Atlantis next door. Just know you are paying Palace rates for a smaller, dated property where the beach, not the hardware, is the reason to book.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Good fit

An adults-only, laid-back beachfront setting that works beautifully for anniversaries and honeymoons, with staff happy to arrange balloons, champagne, and last-minute reservations. Dated rooms are the one romance-killer.

Families

Not a fit

Adults-only, so no one under 18. The two-bedroom family suites work well for adult-only family groups celebrating together, but this is not a kids resort.

Peace & Quiet

Mixed

Generally relaxed and adult, but the pool music and organized activities can crank up loud, and spring-break weeks bring rowdy drinkers. Garbage pickup noise at night is a recurring gripe.

Spa and beauty center, fitness center, solarium terrace, jacuzzis, beach‑volleyball court, entertainment program, shows and live music

What past guests say

“I had a restful time at the hotel, wasn't disturbed and meals were adequate. I also loved that they were right on Cabbage Beach, loved that beach the last time I was there and looked forward to being so close this time. While the water wasn't calm as I remember it...still enjoyed spending time there. My only issue was that my room had multiple small roaches that came out over the course of my stay. The first night I thought it was a one-off but several came out after that.”

“Do not book here.

Every aspect of this hotel was terrible.

All the “gourmet” restaurants on site were all slop. The steakhouse made the worst steak I had in my life. It was simultaneously over cooked and undercooked and came old ice cold.

The buffets were barely edible and this may be the first vacation I lose weight.

The staff were not friendly and seemed they were all one day away from quitting.

The room smelled like mildew and the floor was always...”

“Nice resort, clean, excellent staff always greet you with a smile.
My only disapointment was that the beach was closed all week due to a cold front. I’m not a pool person but we made the best of it.”

“Well taken care of there. Loved it! The only complaint about the rooms is there was only 2 outlets. What's that about? Housekeeping was great. Love the shower. Very clean. Loved the stocked mini bar. Got everything we needed in a timely manner.”

“We just got home from a wonderful 5 night stay at this resort. 1st time at Rui, we've been to many all inclusives though. The food was amazing and it was so fun to watch how the servers all worked so well together. The restaurants were beautiful but they didnt feel intimate. No back ground music and tables were close together. This is the smallest all inclusive resort we had ever been to but everything was very lovely. The stand out were the employees. Front desk workers were happy, fun and...”
