Beach
WeakThe beach is the property's biggest liability right now: heavy sargassum has made stretches unswimmable and smelly, with rocks complicating entry when it's clearer. Come for the pools, not the ocean.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Wide beach when clear
- Staff rake seaweed daily
- Platinum section sits closest to sand
Heads up
- Heavy sargassum through spring and summer
- Rocky patches make walking difficult
- Some guests relocated entirely due to smell
Detailed beach reporting coming soon.
Pools
StandoutPools are the star: multiple large pools, swim-up bars serving premium spirits, and swim-out room access get near-universal praise. This is where you'll spend your days.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Many pools across the property
- Swim-up bars with premium liquor
- Swim-out ground-floor suites
- Adults-only Platinum pool option
Heads up
- Platinum pool feels small for its guest count
- Some pool bars closed during renovation
Twelve pools across the grounds including quieter adult‑only options and lively main pool with swim‑up bars.

What’s included
MixedWhen everything is open and the sargassum cooperates, the price-to-quality ratio feels strong for a four-star family-friendly all-inclusive. Right now, ongoing renovations and Platinum upsell gaps have soured recent value perception.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Renovated rooms feel above tier
- Extensive food and pool inclusions
- Repeat guests return multiple times
Heads up
- Platinum upgrade doesn't deliver promised exclusivity
- Full price charged during partial closures
- Aggressive Royal Holidays timeshare pitch
- Reports of theft from rooms and safes
Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

“Was a fortnights holiday in Oct 26, we have been to this hotel before 7yrs ago and it doesn’t fail to impress. The rooms have been updated and look really impressive the pools and grounds are very clean and tidy and well thought out with a few swim up bars and snack areas and plenty to see and do and if wildlife is your thing then you have scored here as there are all types of animals running around the grounds ie deer, Mexican raccoons, monkeys and many more which are all wild and lovely to...”

“The worst hotel in the Riviera Maya! The staff are rude, they don't respect the established schedules, and the service is terrible. Do not waste your money at this hotel. It's a complete waste of money!”
★☆☆☆☆
“Overall, the facilities are spectacular, though there are many areas for improvement. The male drivers of the internal shuttle are unfriendly and unresponsive, with the exception of Mireya, an excellent and very helpful woman. The concierge at the Yucatán Lobby was unhelpful; we had a person with a disability, and they wouldn't allow any transportation other than the hotel's to enter the hotel. However, the overall experience—food, facilities, and amenities—was fantastic. A truly beautiful...”

“It provided us with a wonderful experience, starting with its fully equipped rooms with comfortable details, continuing with a wide variety of services and activities, as well as beach access. The dining options are varied and of high quality, offering restaurants from different parts of the world. The all-inclusive option is a great advantage, especially for those who enjoy a drink. They also have the thoughtful touch of allowing you to use the facilities after checking out of your room,...”
