Oceano Palace Beach Hotel — all travelers all-inclusive in Mazatlan, MX. Detailed editorial coming soon.

Food & drink

Mixed

Buffet food skews Mexican and generally satisfies, with ceviche and afternoon tacos earning repeat praise from Chef Rosemary's kitchen. English-speaking travelers may find buffet variety thin and à la carte access gated by reservations.

Beach

Mixed

The ocean view is a genuine highlight and the beach location is easy to reach, but the sand is public and shared with loud roving banda musicians. Come for the vista, not for seclusion.

Detailed beach reporting coming soon.

Pools

Standout

The pool is the social heart of the resort, with an animation team running aquaerobics, games, and the signature foam party. Expect energy, music, and a crowd, not lap swimming.

What’s included

Strong

For the all-inclusive price point, most guests feel they got their money's worth, especially Mexican families booking repeat stays. English-speaking travelers expecting resort polish sometimes find the value thinner.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Stretch

A lively family and group scene rather than a romance destination, though a few honeymooners and bachelorette parties left happy. Expect loud banda music and pool games, not quiet sunset dinners.

Families

Ideal

This is the resort's sweet spot: multi-generational Mexican families come back repeatedly for the animation team, foam parties, zumba, and lottery games. Kids and grandparents mix easily in an unpretentious, all-ages atmosphere.

Peace & Quiet

Weak

Not a quiet retreat. The public beach out front hosts banda groups at max volume for hours, and the resort itself runs loud pool parties and multiple live bands simultaneously.

What past guests say

“Terrible hotel, the food is awful, so bad it made my daughter and me sick. The waiters are incredibly rude, they snatch the plate you're eating and won't serve you unless you tip. The snack menu is very confusing, and the hotel's only restaurant is tiny. You have to wait in line for an hour to get a table. It's not worth it.”

“We went to the pool party at Sunset and had a great time! Excellent!”

“Terrible food, the pasta was tasteless, the meat inedible, very little variety, too many people for such a small place to eat, the waiters only serve those who tip unless you tip them, I won't be back.”

★☆☆☆☆

“The only good thing about this hotel was the friendly staff. However, it's overcrowded, with long wait times to enter, order food and drinks, and lacks sufficient space to provide good service.”

Not for:light sleepers
  • Public beach, not resort-controlled
  • Constant amplified music from vendors

  • Limited buffet variety for the price

What you should know

What to Know

This is a Mexican-market resort where Spanish helps and the beach out front is public, not private. Book restaurant reservations early, especially over holidays, and set expectations for a loud, festive atmosphere rather than a polished international brand.
