Why travelers love it

“Beachfront resort in Deshaies with bungalows, sea views, and family‑friendly amenities”

Guests consistently praise the idyllic natural setting, spacious sea‑view bungalows, and relaxed, quiet atmosphere. Many note friendly, helpful staff and direct beach access.

Food & drink

Mixed

Expect a single restaurant with hearty buffet breakfasts and dinners, plus à la carte lunch and beach-bar sandwiches and pizza. Quality is solid when things run smoothly, but slow service and a menu that leans European rather than Creole draw the sharpest complaints.

Dining overview

One main restaurant (“Le Royal”) offering buffet and à la carte with international and Creole‑inspired dishes plus a beach bar serving snacks and light meals

Beach

Standout

The palm-lined bay is the headline attraction, with soft sand, shade trees, and easy strolls to additional beaches on either side. Waves can pick up, and maintenance of chairs and equipment is inconsistent.

Editorial beach rating

Clean sandy beach directly in front of resort with natural shade and sunbeds; calm and scenic but some areas have currents that make swimming hazardous

Pools

Mixed

A pretty pool set against the sea, fine for a dip between beach sessions but not the reason to book. Water runs cold, shade is limited, and there is no swim-up bar.

Editorial pool rating

One main pool with loungers near the beach; no swim‑up bar; tranquil vibe

Rooms & suites

Accommodation includes double rooms, suites, and bungalows (some beachfront or hillside) with sea‑view balconies or terraces; bungalows inherited from Club Med era

Room details here are AI-assisted, compiled from the resort's own website and public sources. Categories and names change often — confirm the exact room when you book.

What’s included

Mixed

Priced as a 4-star but delivers more of a relaxed 3-star experience, which frustrates guests expecting polish. If you value the setting and calm over resort gloss, it works; if you want luxury for the euros, look elsewhere.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Good fit

The bay setting, sunset views, and quiet bungalows make this a genuinely romantic pick for low-key couples and honeymooners. Just know the atmosphere is calm and old-school, not polished-luxury.

Families

Good fit

Families with kids and teens do well here thanks to the sandy bay, watersports, and spacious suites, and there is a children's pool on site. Strong waves and a stretched-thin staff mean parents need to stay attentive.

Peace & Quiet

Standout

This is one of the calmest resorts on Guadeloupe's west coast: no loud music, no fight for chairs, just waves, birds, and the occasional live acoustic set. Perfect if you want to decompress rather than party.

Includes spa, four tennis courts, beach volleyball, pétanque, non‑motorized water sports (kayak, SUP, windsurfing, sailing), conference facilities, car rental, 24‑h reception, laundry

What past guests say

“The hotel is ideally located if the beach is your only activity.

However, I find it unacceptable to have waiters who don't speak French, and to have a predominantly European menu when Guadeloupean cuisine offers a wealth of flavors. At the evening buffet, we found grilled prawns with no seasoning, served with a fried potato gratin, and for dessert, baked pears and coconut cheesecake... ordering a virgin colada was undrinkable. Where were the coconut flans, pineapple cake, pumpkin...”
