- Peruvian venue with native ingredients
- Hiroshi and Dao consistently praised
- Pool food a genuine step up
Heads up
- A rare complaint of tasteless food from one dissatisfied guest
Dining overview
All-inclusive Mousai guests dine at the hotel's own restaurants plus those of neighboring Garza Blanca, including a Peruvian concept that reviewers praise for creative use of blue corn and quinoa, and a modern Chinese venue. Reservations can be tight in high season, so book preferred nights at check-in.

What’s included
StrongFor most, the polished suites, gourmet dining, and rooftop scene justify the luxury price tag, especially when booked via Costco Travel deals. A vocal minority felt service lapses and surprise charges undercut the five-diamond promise.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Costco Travel packages praised
- All-inclusive covers premium restaurants
- Ultra Corner Suites deliver on luxury
- Members return repeatedly
Heads up
- A few guests felt let down for the price
- Surprise damage and tip charges reported

Amenities & activities
Couples
IdealAn adults-only sanctuary built for anniversaries, honeymoons, and milestone birthdays, with butler pampering, private hot tubs, and rooftop dinners setting the tone. Couples return again and again, often becoming members.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Butler service (Diego, Ernesto, Alan, Greta) singled out
- Private in-suite hot tubs
- Romantic rooftop dining at Noi
- Popular for weddings and honeymoons
Heads up
- Timeshare sales pitch can intrude on the romance
- Isolated incidents of room security issues reported
Families
Not a fitMousai itself is adults-only, but families staying next door at Garza Blanca can access the property and use its kids club, making it a smart pick for multi-generational trips where parents want date nights.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Garza Blanca next door handles kids
- Kids club referenced positively
- Butlers coordinate family reservations
- Multi-gen anniversary and birthday groups common
Heads up
- No children permitted in Mousai towers themselves
Peace & Quiet
StandoutNestled into the jungle on a mountainside, the vibe is calm, refined, and low-key, with rooftop pools and quiet paths rather than a party scene. Occasional construction and neighbor noise have disrupted a few stays.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Jungle setting with wildlife-lined paths
- Rooftop pools with mellow music
- Adults-only serenity throughout
- Relaxing rather than lively
Heads up
- Construction noise reported in some rooms
- Nighttime clanging from floors above in one report
Includes spa Imagine on upper floors, ocean‑view gym, outdoor sports (tennis/squash/basketball), butler service, 24‑hour room service, concierge, nightly entertainment, access to sister Garza Blanca facilities.

What past guests say
“I had an amazing experience at Garza Blanca Sanctuary in Puerto Vallarta! One of my favorite restaurants was Misika and our waiter Felix was fantastic! I will be returning.”
★★★★☆
“Fabulous dinner at Noi Italian restaurant in artsy Hotel Mousai and celebrated my friend's 60th birthday. Our waiter Enrique was the best. Surprised us with sparkling tiramisu and serenaded birthday song.”
★★★★★
“A resort that lives up to its 5 diamonds, an experience that combines the best in adults-only hospitality, food, drinks, views, pools, rooftop, spa, jungle, and beach. We only receive premium service as Tafer Elite Partners.”

★★★★★
“We have been to all of the restaurants at the Garza Blanca Preserve. I can honestly say Luis our server on Oct. 25th at Noi was absolutely awesome. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings but most importantly he was personable. While the food there was great the overall experience by Luis made it worth going back. We actually went back to get his name because we felt it was that good of an experience. Thank you Luis Gerordo-Arturo.”
