Why travelers love it

“Adults‑only all‑inclusive nestled in jungle on Xpu‑Ha beach with beachfront pools and spa”

Guests consistently praise the pristine and expansive Xpu‑Ha beach, friendly attentive entertainment team, and the relaxed boutique feel compared to larger resorts

Best for couples seeking a quiet beach escapeBest for honeymoonersBest for 返二度蜜月 wedding partiesBest for nature lovers who want jungle and wildlifeBest for travelers who prefer smaller boutique-feel resorts

Food & drink

Strong

Four à la carte venues (Steakhouse, Italian, Asian, Mexican) are the culinary highlight, with reservations easy to secure. Buffet handles breakfast and lunch competently but stays repetitive, and dinner is à la carte only.

Dining overview

Buffet breakfast/lunch and dinner options at La Palapa and La Selva; multiple themed á la carte restaurants plus a Privileged‑only beachfront restaurant; one dinner show (Rauxa) at extra cost

Beach

Strong

A genuinely beautiful stretch of Xpu-Ha white sand with crystal water when conditions cooperate. Sargassum is the wildcard: staff rake constantly, but summer visits often mean no ocean swimming.

Editorial beach rating

Xpu-Ha is regularly cited as one of the best beaches on the Riviera Maya — soft white sand, gentle entry, and clear warm water you can actually swim in. The stretch is long enough for proper walks in either direction, though like the rest of the coast it can get hit with sargassum when the wind shifts; staff rake it through the day.

Pools

Strong

A large main pool anchors the resort, kept clean and paired with a swim-up bar and daytime activities. It's the social heart when the beach has seaweed.

Editorial pool rating

Single large central pool with outdoor jacuzzi and swim‑up bar; water‑based activities like aquagym and water polo add energy but beach offers quieter escape

Rooms & suites

288 rooms

Room types range from standard Superior (garden view, all‑inclusive) to Premium (renovated), Junior Suites, and Privileged categories that include exclusive benefits and beachfront access

Superior Room

Base category at the resort, set back in the jungle gardens. Reviews note the rooms feel older with thin walls and limited natural light since the canopy blocks even upper floors. Fine if you only use the room for sleeping.

 • View:Garden view
 • Sleeps:2 guests

Includes

 • +private balcony or terrace
 • +minibar
 • +safe

Premium Room

A renovated version of the Superior with updated furnishings and bathroom. Same garden-facing footprint, just refreshed finishes.

 • View:Garden view
 • Sleeps:2 guests

Includes

 • +renovated bathroom
 • +private balcony or terrace

Junior Suite

Larger layout than the standard rooms with a separate sitting area and a bigger terrace. A reasonable step up if you want more room to spread out without paying for the Privileged tier.

 • View:Garden view
 • Sleeps:3 guests

Includes

 • +sitting area
 • +expanded terrace

What’s included

Strong

Priced below the Riviera Maya luxury tier and generally over-delivers, especially for the adults-only, jungle-boutique niche. Privileged upgrade is called out as worth the money.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Ideal

An adults-only jungle hideaway that consistently delivers on honeymoons, anniversaries, and quiet couples getaways. Intimate scale, romantic dinners, and attentive service make it a repeat destination for pairs.

Families

Not a fit

Adults-only property: no one under 18 permitted. Not a fit for families with children regardless of amenities.

Peace & Quiet

Standout

A calm, jungle-wrapped retreat where the loudest sounds are birds, spider monkeys, and the occasional poolside game. Entertainment happens but stays tasteful and easy to opt out of.

Includes spa with water circuit, sauna, steam bath; gym; nighttime shows; wedding ceremony options; on‑site tour desk; beach and pool towels; disco and activities

What past guests say

“This is a lovely hotel in a quiet area. You are actually situated between the larger tourist cities. We liked that, being a bit further away from the hustle and bustle. Because of this, you sometimes have to travel a bit further for excursions, but they arrange it perfectly for you. The warm feeling starts as soon as you arrive; we were already warmly welcomed in the lobby and were always helped with our questions.

The restaurants are good for an all-inclusive. The food is quite tasty...”

“Had a fantastic time! Great staff and food! Was my first time at an all inclusive and would like to give a shout out to some of the excellent staff that made it special. Carlos from concierge, Jesus, Miler & Carlos our bellboys and all the friendly girls at the buffet who greeted us by name everyday (especially Quetzabel) 🩷 Thank you all!😊”

What you should know

What to Know

Expect timeshare sales pressure, a jungle layout that's a walk (bellmen shuttle you by golf cart), and dinner exclusively à la carte. Book the Tulum airport if you can, customs clears in minutes.

WATCH OUT: Seasonal heads-up

 • Sargassum seaweed can wash ashore from roughly April through August; staff rake daily but coverage varies day to day
 • Peak hurricane risk runs August through October

Minimum age 18; check‑in from 3 pm, check‑out until noon (12 pm); spa wet‑area access for Privileged guests needs reservation; environmental sanitation fee applies per night

Good to know

 • Adults-only (18+) with a calm, relaxed vibe rather than a party scene
 • Upgrading to Privileged gets you a refreshed room, the Bloved restaurant, and exclusive beach areas
 • The jungle setting is beautiful but means dim rooms and lots of wildlife around the paths
 • Walls are thin — light sleepers may want earplugs
 • No town within walking distance; taxis required for off-resort outings
